ACT FAST, AmRep has posted a plethora of the recent limited Melvins releases for sale on their SHOXOP tonight! This includes the latest Sugar Daddy splits (Butthole Surfers & MWxHC), Freak Puke picture discs, The Bulls & the Bees and the 1983 10" records, and the 7" picture discs with Hammerhead. Also, if you're behind on what Amphetamine Reptile was back in its heyday you might want to pick up a copy of the AmRep Motors comp which includes the Melvins track Larry. A lot of this stuff may sell out tonight, you've been warned!
UPDATE: Everything sold out in a matter of a couple hours. I do know that you can still buy the Melvins/Hammerhead split picture disc from the artist Chris Mars directly. Melvins should also be getting restocked soon to sell more of some of these items on their tour as well, and the 5th 1983 EP cover variant is being held over for the New Years Eve show w/ Redd Kross.
The fifth release in this 13 volume series has Melvins "Kicking Machine" (live from Sugar Daddy LP) on the A-Side and Side One with tracks by 3 good ol' Midwestern Hardcore bands with Negative Approach ("Sick of Talk"), Die Kreuzen ("In School") & Necros ("IQ32").
The sixth release in this 13 volume series has Melvins "Eye Flys" (live from Sugar Daddy LP) on the A-Side and Side One by the legendary Butthole Surfers with the tracks, 'Pittsburgh to Lebanon", "No Rule" & "Gary Floyd."

"We are well into this infernal tour and now it's dark. Well, it's not actually dark but that's what Frank Booth would say and I've been on a Blue Velvet bender as of late, meaning I've watched all or part of the movie Blue Velvet for the last eight nights. Best sex scenes ever put to film! I can't watch those parts without laughing my ass off and laughs are good on tour, they give you the strength to go about your day and make it easier to face life itself. I've been trying to talk Trevor into playing the song "Blue Velvet" in his solo but so far no luck. I still have half the tour to make it happen." - read more from the Melvins tour diary at SPIN

The Melvins are hanging in there and inching up on the halfway mark of their 51 day record breaking tour! As Buzz said in a recent interview with citypages.com: "Its going good! No one is dead, no one is in jail, and everyone is still on heroin." They've been keeping a tour diary at SPIN.com, make sure you stay up to date on all of the shenanigans and tomfoolery. Dale is also doing a bit of a tour blog for Tama's site. They're touring with Tweak Bird on most of these dates, and SPIN also put up a preview track from their upcoming album Undercover Crops which is endorsed by Dale Crover himself, can't do much better than that... Melvins have a lot of limited edition stuff at the merch table on this tour, including the Freak Puke picture discs, '1983' and 'The Bulls & the Bees' 10" records, and the newest in the Sugar Daddy 12" split series with Butthole Surfers and Die Kreuzen/Necros/Negative Approach. Speaking of which, those new Sugar Daddy splits should go up for sale on AmRep's site real soon so stay on your toes. Melvins also announced that they'll be playing in Los Angeles on New Year's Eve with Redd Kross. Tickets are on sale now, and it should be a real barn burner!

AmRep has put the Freak Puke picture discs up for sale tonight! 300 of each design = 1500 total pressed. $30 Get yours while the gettin's good. All the details you need are below...
UPDATE: These have temporarily sold out online. They will be on sale via the dynamic Brian Walsby at the merch booth for the majority of dates for the remainder of the tour. Assuming some will be left over after the tour more will be made available online at a later date. Thus, I would advise against blowing your money on ebay for one of these unless you have no patience whatsoever.
Melvins "Freak Puke" LP (AMREP089) with 5 different picture disc designs by Gary Taxali, Tara McPherson, Skinner, Mackie Osborne & Dave Cooper.
Here's how it works. This LP is a picture disc. There are 5 different artists' art in the run we made and like a pack of baseball cards. YOU DON'T PICK WHICH DESIGN YOU GET.
These are all sealed in a normal 12" LP cardboard sleeve (as pictured). You won't know which design you have until you open it, so... YOU DON'T PICK WHICH DESIGN YOU GET.
The B-side image is the same on all the LPs, it's the LP jacket graphic, as pictured in the lower right on the picture of the collected designs & you guessed it... YOU DON'T PICK WHICH DESIGN YOU GET.
You can only order TWO LPs. That really does mean TWO LPs. If you order more we will dump/refund your ENTIRE order.
VEVO uploaded a pro-shot series of videos from a recent Melvins show, however they didn't post the exact date/location of the performance. Check it out!
Pirate Press posted an image of all the the vinyl variants AmRep is putting out for the 1983 and Bulls & The Bees releases. These are available from the band on their current U.S. tour and will likely be available online in limited quantities at some point in the near future.
PunkNews.org posted a good interview w/ Dale - "Buzz and I always have had a great relationship. We don't get in big fights like The Kinks. But you know, a lot of people just lose their minds. We're trying to lose our minds and that's why we're doing a 51 day tour. We're really trying to crack ourselves. That's what this is all about. We're trying to push ourselves to the limits of insanity."
Pitchfork premiered the new Big Business song Battlefields which is available on their new 7". It should be available on their website eventually, but if you want a copy immediately you may be in luck if you have a chance to check them out on their ongoing ODD MILK WING tour! Incidentally, they're currently touring with my fellow Minneapolitans, Gay Witch Abortion.

The EP is being released by AmRep and has original Melvins drummer Mike Dillard on drums along with Buzz on guitar and Dale on bass and bagpipes.
- Psycho-delic Haze
- Stick em Up Bitch
- Stump Farmers
- Walters Lips
Cheap CD's and Vinyl are being pressed as this is being typed and should be available in time for the U.S. Tour. They've also put the first track, Psycho-delic Haze on the youtube.
Per AmRep: "At 6pm on Friday (7/27) some of the Sugar Daddy 12"s that had been held for box sets went up for sale. If you are holding out for the box set, don't. In a nut shell there are so many projects happening that this is either getting scrapped, or will be done in a very small hand done edition (i.e. manageable). SO this will be your chance to snag one you've missed. I'm sure you all know about the 2 10"s currently in the works (Bulls & 1983) as well new SD 12's (info below), there's also Freak Puke vinyl, and a TON of crazy singles following all that. Something has to get dropped, so... The next 2 Sugar Daddy's have left for the plant. ETA on release soon, but within 4-8 weeks likely. They are with Butthole Surfers and whats called "Midwest Hardcore" which has vintage tracks from each of Necros/Negative Approach/Die Kreuzen, all early tracks."
Big Business announced their Wild Kingdom US Tour 2012, a few of the dates will coincide with the Melvins U.S. Tour. Additionally the Melvins and Tweak Bird announced that they'll be touring together for the majority of the 51 day Melvins-lite tour.

Today is the day my friends, get out to your local record stores and pick up FREAK PUKE - the new Melvins LITE album from Ipecac Recordings. Melvins Lite is an additional incarnation of the Melvins. The line-up is Buzz Osborne, Dale Crover and Trevor Dunn (Mr. Bungle, Fantomas & Tomahawk). “The Melvins have a long history of mixing up our line-ups and I think that’s what has kept us relevant for so long,” explains Buzz. “Consider the Freak Puke record the fifth side of the four-sided Melvins triangle." "We had seen Trevor playing upright bass in a jazz setting and thought that we could utilize that for a recording project," explained Crover. "This is something different from the two drummer/big hair line-up, which we plan on continuing with as well." For a limited time you can stream the entire album at Spinner.

Melvins also announced today that they'll be touring all 50 states + Washington D.C. in 51 days! The Melvins will attempt to become the Guinness World Record holders for the first band to tour the full United States and D.C. in 51 days with a tour kicking off Sept. 5 in Anchorage, Alaska and wrapping up Oct. 25 in Honolulu, Hawaii. "We figured it was time for us to do something REALLY crazy," said Osborne. "51 shows in 50 states plus 1 on D.C. and all in 51 days? Jeez! I wonder if we can do it?" The tour, which will feature the Melvins Lite line-up of Buzz Osborne, Dale Crover and Trevor Dunn, also marks the first time in the band's near 30-year history that they will perform in Alaska, New Hampshire, Delaware and Hawaii. Buzz will be a guest on Fox News' "Red Eye with Greg Gutfeld" on June 28.
