Notes

From Joyful Noise Recordings: "The October installment of the Joyful Noise 2013 Flexi Disc Series a new unreleased recording from (the) MELVINS!

At the Joyful Noise office, the Melvins are generally regarded as the greatest band in the history of music. It is not an exaggeration to say that our label would not exist without the Melvins. More than any other band, the Melvins are responsible for shaping our artistic world view. A view that, like the Melvins, grows weirder with age.

For their flexi track the Melvins have provided a live rendition of their 2008 song "Billy Fish", this time called "Billy Fish Alive" (as it says on the cover art- designed by Mackie Osborne) or "Billy Fish, Live" as they stipulated it be printed on the flexi-disc (ah melvins... always fucking with the fans). Originally recorded for their "Sugar Daddy Live" album, the track was recorded & mixed by the band's longtime engineer Toshi Kasai.

The Flexi-Disc is limited to just 1000 copies, and was only available as part of our 2013 Flexi-Disc Series."
