It was a phenomenal<br />
show, The Melvins hadn't played in Providence since late fall<br />
of 97' when they were (ugggh) opening for Helmet. I've<br />
travelled to see them all over New England and was glad to see<br />
them play a few miles away for a change. I got to meet the band<br />
in 98' at Ozzfest in Mansfield, MA . Dale/Kevin were great,<br />
Buzz was grumpy as usual, Kevin signed his autograph - Kevin<br />
Ass. Speaking of Kevin, a note about one of the pics from this<br />
show, he had his back towards me and I thought it'd be funny to<br />
snap a shot like I was shooting up his "dress" and he got a bit<br />
cranky and after a minute he grabbed my hand and made me play<br />
his bass with it for about 10-15 seconds. Hope I didn't piss<br />
him off, I was just fooling around, I mean this IS the Melvins,<br />
I've seen them go onstage and not play any of their songs, just<br />
a cornicopia of sonic assailment, so they must have a sense of<br />
humour, right ?<br />
