[[Image:MC5.jpg|right]]MC5 was a hard rock band formed in Lincoln Park, Michigan, U.S. in 1964 and active until 1972. The name MC5 was short for Motor City Five.

The band were Rob Tyner vocals, [[Wayne Kramer]] and Fred "Sonic" Smith on guitar, Michael Davis on bass, and Dennis Thompson on drums.
