The Bootlicker was released in 1999 on Ipecac Recordings.

This album is part two of a trilogy: The Maggot, The Bootlicker and The Crybaby. The Trilogy was released on vinyl by Ipecac Recordings on November 27, 2000 (IPC-011).

With all of the trilogy CDs, the last track contains a small sample of the first track from the next release. Here there is a sample of the song "Smells Like Teen Spirit" (the first song on The Crybaby) after "Prig".
