It was my first Melvins Show and my first serious preoccupation with their music. All just by hazard. And my first visit in the Austrian town of Dornbirn. I come from a little german town nearby. I am very much and positively surprised my the rich offers of "alternative culture" which is offered in this little town; they would be worthy a big city.

I didn´t enjoy the music of the opening bands, but that means nothing.
But, indeed, i enjoyed very much the music of the Melvins. Especially i liked the slow parts and the warm sound. The singer has a beautiful and strong voice (and wore a nice dress).
The joy was a little bit restricted by some guys with too wild dancing. Later during the concert the bass player jumped into the audience the pick up one of these boys to bring him out of the hall. Anyway, later this boy came back, but he was not so aggressive anymore.
There was another boy who was always trying to kiss girls, later he went away.
I liked very much the calm parts too, but unfortunately the audience liked to chatter in this parts so that the effect was much restricted. Many guys take music just as a factory machine.
After a while there was a drunken boy who went on the stage to sleep there, near the feet of the singer. The singer told the audience that it is ok and to leave the sleeper alone.
The Melvins played the national anthem of the USA?, i would like to know the reasons.
There where parents in the audience, in the first row, they brought their sun to this concert, aged approx 9 years old. Most of the times he sat on the shoulders of his father or of a friend of the father. The singer said, if the teacher of this child would be here, he would bring the child home. But the parents didn´t seem to understand. The child was imitating the behaviour of a crazy fan, raising his hands towards the stage. But his face seemed to be frozen.
At one o´clock i went back home, with many deep impressions. --[[User:Beesee|Beesee]] 14:12, 21 September 2008 (PDT)
