MC5 was a hard rock band formed in Lincoln Park, Michigan, U.S. in 1964 and active until 1972. The name MC5 was short for Motor City Five.
The band were Rob Tyner vocals, Wayne Kramer and Fred "Sonic" Smith on guitar, Michael Davis on bass, and Dennis Thompson on drums.
