Matthew Wilkening sent this in to Gene's site and I stole it, it's a promo poster that was all over South x Southwest music industry festival thing. So now we know what the album will be called, "Never Breathe What You Can't See" don't ask me what inspired that prophetic statement, we as melvins fans are now able to confirm the fall release plan for the album thanks to this image. I figured as long as i was stating the obvious i may as well go all the way.

The Melvins are on their mini tour tearing it up! The long anticipated, beautiful book, NEITHER HERE,NOR THERE is out tomorrow. Look for or ask for the paperback version at cool record or bookstores. Or order the super suave hardcover autographed version from our website for $65 starting tomorrow. The book is jammed with stories, photos and award winning artwork. Both versions include a Cd retrospective available nowhere else. A coffee table book unlike any other, documenting the self proclaimed greatest band in the history of music.
You can get to their store to buy that autographed book and also a new melvins shirt celebrating 20 years by going here all you have to do is choose melvins from the category menu.
Here is a review of the book that gives you a good idea of just what is in it.

from amphetaminereptile.com: MELVINS are celebrating their 20th anniversary, and we’ll be releasing a limited edition 7” to commemorate the event! That and it’s become a tradition that release a single when they come to Minneapolis to play their exclusive Grumpy’s shows (almost annually). Set for release in conjunction with their March 19 & 20 shows in Minneapolis. Keep glued here to find out how to get one. It’ll be sick as we’re only making 200 for the show. It’s 2 new REAL songs called “Message Saved” & “Thank You”. We’ll be having a super finite amount for sale on website. Sleeve and poster done by the Aesthetic Apparatus folks. The lads will also be doing a book signing for their new book while in town at OX-OP (gallery). Once you see the book you’ll realize it makes total sense to have the book signing in a gallery, as the book is an amazing graphic piece that includes gobs of Melvins stuff as well as top notch art from tons of amazing folks (Obey Giant, Dalek, Camille Rose Garcia, Tim Biskup, etc etc). The book signing takes place at 2pm.
i'll be there as well as both shows, can't wait, here's to them playing the entire eggnog ep!

@POP Gallery presents
FUN HOUSE artshow-Curated by NIAGARA
Featuring THE STOOGES: IGGY POP, RON ASHETON, SCOTT ASHETON.
February 7th-March 2nd, 2004.
"Like a street-walkin' cheetah with a heart full of napalm" Iggy and The Stooges are back but now are exploding on Detroit's ART Scene.
Ground Zero is CPOP Gallery, Sat Feb 7th. Iggy, the Godfather of Punk and his partners in crime, the Asheton brothers, have a new weapon in their arsenal: paintbrushes. Curated by Detroit's own High Priestess of Punk, Niagara.
Observes Mary Harrison, "It would appear to be the natural progression; now bringing Ron Asheton into the art scene since they had played together for years in Dark Carnival, exposing her to the music scene"
The Stooges FUNHOUSE Art show is expected to attract an international audience in it's 30 day run in Detroit. The show should hold more than a few surprises, everything from crude re-worked T.V. Guides to large colourful canvases depicting life from the perspective of the seminal Punk Rockers. The show is coinciding with the Stooges Reunion and world tour that has taken the rock world by storm.
Ron Asheton, lead guitar from The Stooges and Destroy All Monsters, wryly notes, "Some of this stuff isn't so hot and some of it's brilliant, I just don't know which is which."
Niagara had noticed, "For some time they had been painting whenever they could. I thought the time was right for a show...of a different type; paintings by musicians."
Also included in the show are pieces by Lou Reed, Joey & Dee Dee Ramone, Thurston Moore & Kim Gordon (Sonic Youth), Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), King Buzzo (The Melvins), Mark Mothersbaugh (DEVO), Kembra Pfahler (The Voluptuous Horror of Karen Black), John Holmstrom (PUNK Magazine), rock photos by Bob Gruen and Leni Sinclair, various other artists and live performances.
"I wanted the show in D etroit, being the Stooges home town. They are beloved here." added Niagara.
"It will also give our band an opportunity to get some recording done for our new album." says Asheton.
SHOW OPENS SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 7, 2004, 8pm-Midnite
