I'm assuming means that they're the music videos for those songs and you can watch them on your computer. Which turns out to be a good reason to buy the album even if you do have all three atlantic cds. It looks to only be available in europe. It comes out August 18th on Warner Records, you can preorder it from Amazon.com as an import from Phantom Records whatever that is. This is definitely a surprise, when i first heard the title of it, i thought it was a mistake. The label is doing it without any input from the band, here's the cover art...

This comes from Peter of Denmark:
Talked to Buzz and Kevin before the show. He are some of the things Buzz said:
- Mike & the Melvins: Mike hasn´t done his vocals yet and Buzz will not do his before Mike is finished.
- Upcoming: A re-mix album
- Upcoming: A 200 pages art book will be out in the fall. Includes a CD.
- Melvinmania: European release. Melvins has not been contacted about this release and know nothing about the content. Just that it will only contain previously released songs.
- Upcoming: Melvins and Jello Biafra
- Upcoming: The Mangled Demos with Mike Dillard on drums
Oh yeah: and two new Fantomas albums.....
Aalso a rumor going around is that Kevin Sharp of Brutal Truth fame is working on a grindcore supergroup which will feature Shane Embury on bass, Mick Harris on drums and, possibly, Buzz Osborne on guitar. this is in the preliminary stages and buzz hasn't confirmed so we may hear nothing of this for a while.
Also alex took some pictures at the melvins art show in NY to see them go here.
Melvins euro tour problems

It kind of makes you want to stop doing this!
Due to circumstances beyond our control, the European Geek Tour is being changed at the last minute. The changes are as follows: The Paris show originally scheduled for Friday, June 27 is cancelled. The Hamburg show scheduled for Saturday June 28 is being moved to July 13.
The Roskilde festival show originally scheduled for Sunday June 29 is now Saturday June 28. The Helsinki show scheduled for July 1 is cancelled. We are hoping and assuming that the show on July 3 will happen as planned. The rest of the tour looks fine. When scheduling tours, bands rely on managers, booking agents, promoters/festival organizers, bus or van rental companies, travel agents and crewmembers to pull everything together and set things up. As with life, sometimes things don’t go as planned, but usually you can still pull it together. In this case a couple major parts of the tour organization fell apart, forcing the cancellation of some shows. Ipecac, Tomahawk and the Melvins are VERY upset about this and wish to apologize to everyone affected by these sudden changes. In light of what has happened, it is a tribute to the bands and crew that instead of panicking and canceling, they are determined to do as much of this tour as humanly possible. This despite the loss of a considerable amount of income. Once again, we are VERY sorry. Does this stuff only happen to us????

26 Songs out today!
- Details

26 songs released today! Here we are in 2003 and it's become obvious that we need to clear up a few things about the Melvins. 1. Remember, when some son-of-a-bitch sells you something, expect the goddamn thing to work. 2. The Melvins are NOT a "trick on music". Got It? It hasn't been a year since the last bona fide Melvins album but nonetheless, slated for release is yet another album... However, this here new one is actually a RE-release of the classic Melvins record "10 songs". Of course the NEW one has a NEW super deluxe cover and has been expanded to 26 songs. That's 16 more than the original! The record even includes a secret recording of one of their hometown buddies out of his mind on Angel Dust. This added historical window should fully explain their origin and current message in a way never before captured on record. Even if this reissue is 16 years old you can rest assured this record is up to date! If you get this record you can know there is nothin' or nobody ahead of you. Nobody knows nothin' that you don't know. All the cards are on the table friends and that's a fact! Dang! It's been damn near 20 years since these Melvins started and they still have yet to find the common decency to die or break up. The core-band of King Buzzo and Dale remains intact and they've had the same bass player since 1998! Hailing from the Minneapolis Cows is pioneering slide bass pervert Kevin "Rutmanis". The Melvins proclaim this lineup the definitive whatever you want to call it of whatever it is they think they do. Nothing should be denied them forever more. Don't try to twist around or screw up this last one, it's a lot easier to just surrender and let the good times roll. After all, the Japanese and the Germans surrendered and look at them now. One things for sure don't listen to anyone about anything. The masses and the media don't know shit. Have no fear, the Melvins and Ipecac know what they are doing. Just sit back and let these guys do the driving. Too many know nothing know it all music critics, humorless tire iron wielding troglodytes and internet weed heads spoil the broth.

Melvins @ Walker Art Center, Minneapolis

The Cameron Jamie film BB, which is an 18 minute film involving Backyard Wrestling, is being played at the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis right now up until May 4th. The soundtrack to this film is Hung Bunny/Roman Bird Dog from the Melvins Lysol(self-titled) cd.
B B(2000) was filmed after a long investigation of the backyard wrestling phenomenon in southern California. For two years Jamie followed groups of kids in the San Fernando Valley, shooting videos, going to their wrestling shows, and integrating himself into this community. The film itself was shot with two Super-8 cameras and is superimposed with the timeless, demented, slow, and forceful music of the Melvins. The combination of the slow-motion, black-and-white images with this music creates a dreamlike state that reinforces a nightmare quality. The challenge of such a project was to avoid an exploitative relationship to its topic. Jamie is not interested in authoring "arty white-trash chic," or in depicting violence in a traditional documentary way. The dreamlike form of the film takes the documentary format to another level, to what he calls a "purgatory state of being," a middle ground that, in his view, is perfectly embodied in the notion of suburbs.
